problem to find the distance

Topic :- Distance

Distance is a numerical description of how far apart objects are.

In geometry shapes, the minimum distance between two points is the length of a line segment between them.
Here is a problem which shows us how to find the distance between two points.

Question:-
Find the distance between (2,3)and (14,8)

Solution:-

Let us take
( 9 , 2 )  ( 5 ,  4 )
 x1  y1     x2   y2

Formula to find  distance

d = √(y2-y1)2+(x2-x1)2

= √(4 - 2)2 + (5 - 9)2

= √ 4 + 16

= √20 =2√5

So distance d =2√5 is the Answer
