problem on interquartile range

Topic:- interquartile range (IQR)
In descriptive statistics, the interquartile range (IQR), also called the midspread, middle fifty and middle of the numbers, is a measure of statistical dispersion, being equal to the difference between the third and first quartiles.
Unlike the (total) range, the inter quartile range is a robust statistic, having a breakdown point of 25%, and is thus often preferred to the total range.

Question:-

Find the five number summary and fins the inter quartile range for the following data. 38, 32,
33, 26, 26, 29, 25, 28, 40

Answer:-
This statistics help will show you how to find the IQR for the above data.
lets arrange the data

{25,26,26,28, 29, 32,33,38,40}

median for the data = 29

first quartile = 26

second quartile = 35.5

maX = 40

min = 25

inter quartile range = 30.75

So the Answer is 30.75
